If you want to play Padel outside in the German winter, the Kanaren are the most obvious Spanish choice. They are more away than Mallorca or Costa Blanca, but milder, sunnier and significantly more reliable for November to March. The best island depends on whether you're looking for exercise, family, Workation, budget or tranquility.
01The quick decision
Tenerife South is the best all-around choice for Padel training, beginners, camps and winter outdoor conditions. Gran Canaria South is very strong for families and classic winter sun. Las Palmas is the best Workation base.
Lanzarote Worth it for a quiet, active vacation and volcanic landscape, but needs better wind planning. Fuerteventura is more of a surf and Padel combo than a pure Padel main destination.
Winter sun is the Kanaren advantage, wind is the planning factor.
For reliable outdoor Padel, Tenerife South and Gran Canaria South are the safest starts. In Lanzarote and Fuerteventura you should plan indoor backups or flexible slots.
02Winter, wind and travel
The most important difference to Mallorca and Costa Blanca: The Kanaren are much more suitable for padel in winter. November to March are the core months if you're looking for sun, mild temperatures and outdoor play.
Tenerife and Gran Canaria are often more protected due to their relief, especially in the south. Lanzarote and Fuerteventura are flatter and windier. This is not an exclusion criterion, but it is a reason not to choose clubs and accommodation based solely on the image of the beach.
03The best Kanaren areas
Tenerife South: Training, beginners and academy density
Costa Adeje, Los Cristianos and Las Américas are the strongest Padel corridor of the Kanaren. Tenerife Padel Academy, Top Padel Adeje, Aqua Padel and other providers make the region particularly good for training, beginners and organized games.
Gran Canaria South: family, sun and relaxed clubs
Maspalomas, Playa del Inglés and San Agustín are ideal if you want to easily combine winter sun, beach and Padel. K2 Padel, GL Padel and Club de Padel Bida are good anchors for vacationers and families.
Las Palmas: Workation, city beach and after-work Padel
Las Palmas is the strongest Workation location of the Kanaren. Coworking, city beach and clubs like The Padel Club Drago, Carlos Calle Padel Escuela, La Calzada and La Galera make the city very good for remote work plus evening Padel.
Lanzarote: quiet, active vacation with wind logic
Lanzarote is strong if you are looking for volcanic landscapes, peace and multi-sports. TocaPadel24, Santa Barbara, Padel Center Las Naves and Sports Club Puerto Calero are the main anchors. The trade-off: wind and distributed paths.
Fuerteventura: Surf and Padel as a combination
Fuerteventura has strong beaches and water sports, but the Padel infrastructure is thinner. Corralejo with SetPoint Fuerteventura and Padelpiscinacorralejo is the best base if you want to combine surf, beach and the occasional Padel.
